Large bedroom with en-suite

The roof space that was once taken up with truss rafters is opened up. The bedroom spans the width of the house and has a light airy feel and is an ideal master bedroom.

The installed Velux skylights fit conveniently within alcoves and this help hide the window tops open (when open), and to increase the overall dimensions of useable loft space. The reflected natural light from the side walls into the loft area softens any shadows.

The Skylight windows span from the knee wall height to the flat ceiling. The ceiling increases the feeling of space within the room and additional roof height has even allowed this area to have a small storage area of its own.

The large bedroom spans the entire floor area (depth and width) of the house and has a central heating radiator, knee wall storage and fitted cupboards along the width of the far wall. The cupboards are shaped to follow seamlessly the shape of the roof and ceiling.

Loft En-Suite

The en suite is a conveniently positioned bathroom to the right of the stair landing. The bathroom has been tiled from floor to ceiling level in a subtle grey patterned white gloss tile. The floor tiles are low gloss and match the wall tiles. The room has its own radiator heating. Bathroom fittings include the contemporary, quarter circle shaped shower, washbasin and toilet.

Loft Stairs

The stairs to the converted loft wind upwards from the landing with 2 kite-wind turns. The stair banisters are made from solid wood and balustrades are turned spindles.
