Only rarely is planning permission required, mainly for dormer extensions or if your house is in a conservation area. The Conversion DesignJust as any other room in your house has its own unique design this is where you have a direct say in maintaining or improving on layout, style and convenience of the room before it is built. The location of skylight or dormer windows, electrical sockets, storage space, sunken lighting, en suite facilities, heating and decoration are features you may be able to influence. Our surveyor will also listen to your design ideas and suggestions and incorporate them into the proposed design. We do not work to a prescribed format and will work with you at all stages.Building Plans and RegulationsWe have our own experienced architect who is able to draw up professional building plans for your loft design. Building regulations approval is a process we are very familiar with and handle all necessary applications for all our conversion jobs. We are also happy to be involved with the planning, costing and approval of DIY loft conversion projects.
